Indie game selected for ID@Xbox arrives on PC with a promotional price for a very limited time and a launch trailer

After winning over players on PC and gaining traction on Steam, Ghetto Zombies: Graffiti Squad now arrives exclusively on Xbox consoles this Wednesday, February 25, marking an important new step for the title developed by Fogo Games and published by Nuntius Games.

The launch expands the game’s reach following its strong performance on Steam, where it stood out for its striking visual identity, creative arsenal, and fast-paced top-down action. The game also received support from Microsoft, including visibility across official channels and social media, further boosting awareness ahead of its console debut.

A Zombie Apocalypse with Its Own Identity

Ghetto Zombies: Graffiti Squad blends frenetic action, territory-based progression, and strong inspiration from urban culture. Players take control of graffiti-inspired characters fighting to reclaim a city overrun by zombies in a stylized and personality-driven world.

The campaign is divided into four chapters, each featuring around ten stages and culminating in recurring boss battles that evolve over time, gaining new abilities and transformations. Progression is tied to painting murals, which unlock new paths, challenges, and areas.

One of the game’s biggest highlights is its arsenal, featuring more than 60 weapons and over 70 variations when including special versions. Among them are unconventional creations such as bubblegum guns, ketchup blasters, and explosive spray cans. The game also includes 22 different enemy types, each with distinct patterns and behaviors.

Before arriving on Xbox, Ghetto Zombies built a solid foundation on Steam, generating strong community engagement and coverage from content creators. Its positive performance helped establish it as one of the most notable recent Brazilian indie action projects.

The console version was led by Gabriel Roberto, head of porting for the project, who highlighted the efficiency of developing for the Xbox platform.

According to Gabriel,
“Because the Xbox system is unified across Microsoft Store, Xbox One, and Series S/X, it’s the simplest platform to develop for across all generations.”

He also emphasized that familiarity with the project’s structure contributed to a smooth transition.
“The porting process was smooth because I already understood the project’s structure, knew where to make the necessary changes, and was familiar with the Xbox system.”

Among the key adaptations for Xbox were technical adjustments tailored to the platform.
“I restructured the save and achievements systems to align with Xbox standards, along with additional optimization to ensure smooth performance on Xbox One.”

The result is a version designed to run consistently across all supported console generations while maintaining the intensity of the original experience.
